Mark Stein
Over 30 years facilitating complex disputes — and guiding parties toward practical, win-win outcomes.
Mark Stein has over 30 years of experience as a professional mediator. He was the second mediator in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and one of the original mediators on the Jefferson County, Kentucky Family Court Roster when it launched in 1988. He previously served as a mediation consultant with the United States Department of Justice and helped facilitate the creation of mediation programs in fourteen states and in Ireland.
In 1996, Mark mediated two cases on a regular episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, resolving disputes both live and in pre-recorded sessions before a national studio audience. He is the author of Resolving Conflict Once and For All (Harmony House, 1996).
Today, Mark provides private mediation services for business leaders, professionals, and families seeking structured resolution without the financial and relational costs of litigation. As a mediator, Mark serves as a neutral facilitator of a structured process designed to guide parties toward practical, win-win outcomes.
When both parties agree to participate in good faith, mediation is successful approximately 98% of the time.
